The Gifting Tree Foundation is a love story. Not your typical love story, but a story of a group of people who love Aiken and the people who call Aiken home. It began with conversations amongst friends – friends who served on various nonprofit boards and were frustrated when they saw too many local needs going unmet. Words became actions, and in 2018, The Gifting Tree Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was formed and funded with personal money to seed the organization.
The mission of the Gifting Tree Foundation is to assist individuals in need as well as other local charities, addressing the greatest number of needs without incurring unnecessary red tape or costs. With no brick-and-mortar facility, no paid staff, and no state or regional office to report to, The Gifting Tree Foundation is able to act quickly in times of need and designate the greatest amount of funds right where they belong – here in our community.
